Description
Botanical Name: Butyrospermum Parkii
Harvested in the African tropics (though grown in predominantly drier, arid regions), Shea Butter has long been used to treat dry and problem skin. As part of your skincare and soap formulation shea butter has infinite uses – adding a luxurious touch to balms, butters, lotions, masks and more.
This shea is refined and so is suitable for skincare and other applications where the smoky aroma of unrefined shea is too overpowering. Refined shea is a more consistent white/creamy colour. Certified organic and fair trade, this shea is absolutely divine to use.
Shea butter contributes to a hard bar of soap and a silky lather, and is typically used at 5 to 15%.
