Description
Botanical name: Cannabis sativa
A deep green liquid with a distinct almost nutty aroma, Hemp Seed oil is a popular ingredient in soap making due to its contribution to a fluffy lather.
Hemp Seed oil is also a common ingredient to use in skincare products, as it is rich in fatty acids, and acts as a humectant, bringing moisture to the skin.
Hemp Seed oil makes a softer bar of soap and is typically used at a maximum of 10% in cold process recipes, with 2 to 5% being the most common – usage at a higher rate can lead to DOS.
